Good news, we had several engineers from the Cockrell School of Engineering visit our studio to discuss the structural design of Caret 6! They examined our prototype model and gave us ideas on how to make our installation as strong as possible. They recommended implementing a system of primary ribs and solid connections to keep the diamond modules rigid. They were very interested in our unique vaulting condition using diamonds of varying sizes.
We just heard yesterday that we will have a team of eight engineering graduate students working on structural analysis. We are looking forward to working with them!
